Hi guys and gals. Jamey here.
I thought I should be upfront and transparent about everything. So here it is:
This website is not primarily financially driven. I am strangely obsessed with the inner workings of generators and love researching and using them every day. I started this site with the idea that I may be able to help people find their generator faster than without this website around. I feel that I am adding value to the generator world.
That said, beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.
First, the obvious: I write generator reviews, lists and give buying advice on this website (www.topgeneratorreviews.com). I link to these generators on Amazon to help you find the best price online (I choose Amazon because it is the most trusted marketplace online).
The less obvious: If you click on the link and buy the product on Amazon I get a commission from Amazon. The commission is usually about 4 – 7 % of the sale price. This is how this website’s bills are paid (ie. server hosting costs). Thank you for your support!
…But just to cover my ass and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every recommendation, link, and product I use, the following all hold true:
